The team at From the Ground Up Wellbeing Farm are passionate about sharing the healing presence of animals and real life farm experiences in a therapeutic and grounding setting
Our twin brothers, Ernie and Eddie, are extremely friendly and love attention. They are mischievous and funny, you will get lots of laughs and entertainment interacting with these boys.
Fern is extremely intelligent and communicates through body language, vocal squeals and grunts. She uses different tones to express her wants and needs.
Aurora and Eve, alpacas provide a unique sensory, social and emotional experience. They have their own individual personalities and often require time, patients and understanding to build trust.
Our lovely lambs, Flopsy and Cottontail, came to us as orphans and required plenty of love and care from our farm community. Their gentle and kind nature makes them fantastic huggers. An approachable and listening friend that has endless warm cuddles and long chats available.
We have a beautiful team of horses that are highly perceptive with a developed level of awareness to sense and respond to body language, emotions and thoughts. They have the ability to mirror our emotions and provide the opportunity to explore how you relate to others.
Wilbur was rescued from a piggery, he holds a special place in our hearts from a very young age. His highly intelligent nature makes him a humorous and understanding friend (once he's had a belly rub). Be ready for endless giggles!
Relax by the pond and watch the ducks dive and play.
Koda and Miley, our beautiful pair of dogs have been raised as family members. They make fantastic listeners and give comforting hugs.
Enjoy brushing and patting our small guinea pig friends, they are approachable and great for building confidence.
Turbo came to us from a loving family where he outgrew his environment. He now has a large outdoor pond for him to move and grow.
The stingless, native busy bees are completely harmless. Watch and learn about their very important place in the world of pollination.
Loki-Bear is the farm's guardian dog, he protects our support animals from the threat of wild predators.
The Foster program provides opportunities for animals and humans to grow together, set goals and overcome challenges.
Willow and Blossom are the Farm's miniature Mediterranean donkeys. The donkeys are kind curious and in tune with our bodies.
We have a variety of bantam chicken breeds. They all enjoy hand fed peas while sitting on the grass. Our free range chooks provide farm fresh eggs and seasonal offspring.
Our animals are often rescued and reared to be valued as members of our family. This strong relationship that we have with every single animal means that we can assist you in connecting with them personally, to understand their thoughts, emotions and stories.
Having the privilege of growing up on a family farm, owning and training horses, milking cows, collecting eggs, and growing small crops, I felt a real sense of place and purpose. Offering that experience to our children was my ultimate goal. That dream became a reality after years of dedication and hard work. Together with my husband and three daughters, we were able purchase a bare block to begin our own farming adventures. I’ve gained years of experience working as a diploma qualified Early Educator with children that have developmental delays in various education settings. I have seen the need for a form of alternative learning opportunities. My dream and goals grew! As a result, animal assisted learning has been incorporated into my early intervention program with rewarding outcomes. I am passionate about sharing the healing presence of animals and real life farm experiences in a therapeutic setting. We have recently established a purpose built well-being farm open to NDIS participants to heal, grow, and explore in a safe and nurturing environment.
