Nature-Based Occupational Therapy

Our compassionate and dedicated team of Occupational Therapists offer a neuroaffirming and strengths-based approach, focusing on the development of individuals through meaningful and purposeful opportunities to enhance engagement and participation in daily occupations. While doing so, we utilise the benefits of an outdoor therapeutic process and animal-assisted interventions.

Goal directed therapeutic activities are delivered through engagement in purposeful farm and animal related opportunities. The positive and  transferable outdoor environment provides the optimal space for  practitioners to deliver planned treatment approaches.

The meaningful nature of the farm supports diverse skill development and emotional wellbeing directly related to individualised goals.

Occupational Therapists can support clients with:

  • Social skills & interactions

  • Cognitive development

  • Daily living & self-care skills

  • Sensory processing

  • Mental health & emotional wellbeing

  • Play & leisure participation

  • Fine & gross motor skills

1:1 occupational therapy services support capacity building for individuals of all abilities across the life span.

The AHPRA registered professionals complete occupational therapy evaluations and assessment for participants, to develop optimal treatment plans in a nature-based setting. Therapists apply strategies and interventions to achieve established goals.
